Laila and Kalyn are high school seniors and best friends. I was so happy when they asked me to take their senior photos at Tall Bull Memorial Grounds. Not only is it an absolutely beautiful setting, it is one of cultural significance. It is a long time gathering place for the local indigenous community, and for the past six years has been the site of an annual powwow which I attend with my daughter. She loves that we get to camp out between the two days of powwow action.
I had so much fun with Laila and Kalyn. They are smart and sweet, and their friendship is so endearing. I feel fortunate to have captured these moments as they enter their final year of high school.
